We are a family pack welcoming boys and girls in Kindergarten through Fifth Grades located in Kennesaw, Georgia. We primarily recruit via Pitner, Baker, Kennesaw, and Chalker Elementary Schools, but all elementary aged youth are welcome to join! We are active year-round promoting the aims of Scouting: character development, citizenship training, physical and mental fitness, and leadership development. All of our leaders are volunteers who have completed the BSA’s youth protection training and are dedicated to the Mission of Scouting: to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
Scout Oath
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
Scout Law
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.
Who are Cub Scouts?
Cub Scouts is a year-round program offering fun activities that promote character and leadership development. Den meetings are planned and run by a den leader with a group of Scouts all the same rank/age/grade. Most dens meet twice a month. The Cub Scouts earn most of their rank advancement adventure belt loops/pins as a den. Parents are encouraged to play an active role in our programs. Cub Scouts may also complete some elective adventures with their parents at home as well. Pack meetings are held once per month and are attended by all of the Cub Scouts in the Pack and their families. Most Cub Scouts are awarded their belt loops, pins, and/or patch achievements during Pack Meetings. Cub Scouts earn their rank by May of each year as long as they have completed all required adventures.
“I have over and over again explained that the purpose of the Boy Scout and Girl Guild movement is to build men and women as citizens endowed with the three H’s namely, Health, Happiness, and Helpfulness. The man or woman who succeeds in developing these three attributes has secured the main steps to success this life.”
Sir Robert Baden-Powell, The Founder of Scouting
