What’s the difference between a Den and a Pack?
- A Den is a group of boys and/or girls the same grade-level who meet once or twice a month to work on advancement skills.
- A Pack is all Cub Scouts from all Dens.
What happens at a Den Meeting?
A Den Meeting has games and activities to help the Cub Scouts achieve their rank by earning belt loops/pins.
What happens at a Pack Meeting?
A Pack Meeting is for handing out rank achievements (belt loops/pins) and other earned patches/awards. There will also be other activities as well, such as, games, songs, guest speaker, STEM activities or crafts.

Is Cub Scouts the same as Scouts BSA (Boy Scouts)?
- Cub scouts are for boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th grade.
- Scouts BSA is open to boys and girls in 6th grade through age 18.
